Herman Witte Elected President Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA)
January 10, 2012
Herman Witte was elected to serve as President of the Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA). The MNLA was established in 1922, and is a statewide trade association that represents over 8,000 licensed green industry firms. The MNLA represents over 15 different segments of the green industry including garden center, greenhouse production, grower, golf course design and maintenance, interiorscape, irrigation, landscape contractor, landscape design, landscape management, nursery production, supplier, turf management, and arborist. The MNLA serves all of these industry segments by creating relationships between and among them while strengthening the industry as a whole. For many decades, the MNLA has established itself as a strong unified voice and the source for information and input about Michigan's green industry to government agencies, Legislature, universities, and the public. MNLA is also the green industry's resource for information, education, and member benefits/services designed to save you money.
The MNLA Board of Directors, staff, and all committees take their fiduciary responsibility to you very seriously. For 90 years, MNLA has been committed to the well-being and integrity of Michigan's green industry. It's a tradition that we proudly continue. The MNLA is celebrating its 90th year in operation, and Herm is very proud and excited to be President during the celebratory year. He is also looking forward to celebrating many more years with the MNLA
